
Big Mac Tacos (Smash Burger Tacos)

Big Mac Tacos, also known as Smash Burger Tacos, are a fun and delicious twist on a classic. Featuring a thin layer of golden ground beef, a creamy and tangy Big Mac sauce, and crunchy dill pickles, these tacos are sure to impress. They are perfect for a weekend lunch or dinner and are quick to prepare, making them an excellent choice for casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- •3 tbsp mayonnaise
- •3 tbsp ketchup
- •1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
- •0.5 tsp Tabasco (or your favourite hot sauce)
- •2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- •1 tsp mustard
- •1 leaf iceberg lettuce (finely sliced)
- •2 tbsp dill pickles (finely chopped)
- •200 g ground beef (10% fat)
- •salt (to taste)
- •pepper (to taste)
- •vegetable oil (for cooking)
- •8 slices American cheese (or American cheddar)
- •4 small flour tortillas
Instructions

Use a small whisk to mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard in a bowl to make the Big Mac sauce.

Have your lettuce and pickles ready before starting with the tacos.

Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.

Press a thin layer of beef onto each tortilla.

Preheat a hot skillet or griddle over high heat until it is smoking.

Add a bit of oil to the pan and place one tortilla with the beef side down.

Flatten/smash it using a flat surface, like the bottom of a saucepan.

Leave it there for 1-2 minutes, then flip it.

Place two slices of cheese on top of the beef and cover with a lid for 30 seconds to help the cheese melt.

Remove it from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining tacos.

To keep the tacos warm, store them in the oven at 120℃/240℉ on a cooling rack.

Serve the tacos with iceberg lettuce, Big Mac sauce, and pickles.
