Ingredients
- •4 count submarine rolls (about 6–10" each, partially sliced lengthwise)
- •0.5 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- •1 tablespoon minced garlic
- •1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- •1 pinch kosher salt
- •4 cups precooked pulled pork
- •8 slices thinly sliced ham
- •4 count dill pickles (halved lengthwise)
- •8 slices Swiss cheese
- •yellow mustard (to taste)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to the broil setting on low.
- 2
Line a sheet pan with parchment.
- 3
Arrange the rolls, cut-side up, on the pan.
- 4
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt.
- 5
Generously brush the buttery mixture over the exposed insides of each roll.
- 6
Slide the tray under the broiler for a couple of minutes until the bread edges turn golden; watch closely so they don’t burn.
- 7
On a large cutting board, combine the pulled pork, ham slices, halved pickles, and Swiss.
- 8
Using a large, sharp knife, chop everything finely until the mixture becomes a uniform, hearty mash.
- 9
Stir in yellow mustard to taste and scrape the filling into a bowl.
- 10
You should end up with roughly four cups of combined filling.
- 11
Pile about one cup of the chopped mixture into each toasted roll, press lightly so it holds together, and serve immediately.
